Vision

Get this, my dad was born in a village. In a closet. On a floor made out of dried and polished cow dung. Wild stuff. Long story short, my dad came to this country with my mom and $200. Together, from scratch, they made me.
I grew up with Nintendo, a computer, internet access, and two loving parents. Wow. My parents did some major leveling up in their life times. I’ve always been humbled and impressed by their accomplishment of moving to a totally new country and building a life in a completely different economy.
When I was a kid, I visited the idyllic verdant village my dad grew up in, and the distopian city life my mom experienced growing up in Bombay. I was blown away by how lucky I was to have what I have. My middle-class quality of life was opulent compared to what they grew up with. On top of that I was able to go to private schools, attend painting lessons, music lessons, pottery lessons, and pretty every lesson or camp I expressed interest in. Before age twelve I’d conducted my own science experiments, designed my own kites, rockets, robots, painted paintings, dissected animals (in a lab) and a bunch of other fantastic things my parents put on my path. My parents observed me and my budding interests, and exposed me to everything they thought I would naturally enjoy.
Even though I do not come from wealth or some kind of royal bloodline, I feel rich and happy with my life. My needs are understood and fulfilled. If you are able to read this right now, you are like me. You have internet. You have access to a computer. No matter how much more cash you could use, you still have spare change under a couch cushion somewhere. Think about that for a second, you have “spare change.” Most people on earth live on pennies a day. A SPARE penny is unheard of to billions of people here on earth.
What are you doing to make the world a better place? Whats your plan? How do you expect your children’s children to be able to breathe the oxygen we are polluting today? I’m a dad now so I think about weird stuff like this more and more. These questions are the things that keep me up and night, thinking and dreaming.
I believe any of us can do anything we put our minds towards. We put a man on the moon. We put a robot on mars. We broke atoms apart and harnessed a source of power so unimaginable that we first tested it in the desert just in case the fusion process never stopped. We’ve done some amazing stuff in the past and these days, during these times I feel like we just are not trying hard enough.
The problem is not that we are unable, the problem is that we are spending all of our time on short format communication like Facebook and Twitter and avoiding the agony of taking something we know to be true and taking the time to scrape it out of the inside of our skulls and share it, in long-form with the world. We gotta start tacking big problems and stop changing the channel.
Each of us is completely unique from the start, and as we grow we develop even more nuance and character as we live the experiences life, and our parents, throw at us. This individuality gives us all a completely unique and special perspective on the world that makes us powerful agents of change. We just have to dedicate ourselves, and put in the elbow grease.

This site is three main sections:

Projects – Stuff I’ve done, am doing, and want to do

Keys – ways of thinking that have helped me transcend

Blog – you know… a blog..random stuff

I believe in you. I believe in the unlimited potential of all of us. Check out my site, it’s intended to show how I look at the world and illustrate my particular perspective on life. Hopefully you’ll send me your perspective too. I’d love to see the world through the lens that is you. Let’s push ourselves and push everyone around us to be great. Let’s sharpen ourselves and our friends like a sword. It’s gonna be messy but together we gotta heal the world.
